The Grosvenor House Hotel

The Great Room at The Grosvenor House Hotel is the host for the Catey Awards.

The splendour of the Great Room is often televised at leading award ceremonies such as the BAFTAs. Built within the Grosvenor House between 1927 and 1929 the Great Room can seat up to 2,000 people. Originally devised as an ice-rink, the room was redesigned in 1936 and converted into The Great Room, one of the largest hotel Conference & Banqueting rooms in Europe.

Because of the unusual origin, the Great Room has no pillars so guests enjoy uninterrupted view from all positions within the room. Sweeping staircases lead up to the 'rink' balcony which runs the full circumference at Mezzanine level. The balcony is ideal for pre-dinner receptions and for a breathtaking view of the proceedings below. With its excellent acoustics and versatile lighting, including eight stunning chandeliers, the Great Room creates a magnificent backdrop to the Catey Awards.

The Dorchester Hotel

The Dorchester Hotel London is the host for the Catey judging sessions for the 2008 Cateys.

The Dorchester is proud to be hosting the judging sessions for the 2008 Catey awards.  As a Catey-award winning hotel, we know from personal experience the valuable contribution these awards make within the hospitality industry in recognising the hard work that goes into running a successful hotel 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.  We hope that the glorious surroundings of the hotel will inspire the judges and make those difficult decisions about winners just that little bit easier.
